Az iskola nem tart balt (ezt sokan benezik es azt kiabaljak, hogy az iskola rasszista blabla).
Ehelyett ket privat bal van, egy fehereknek, egy a tobbieknek. Idotlen idok ota.
4 baratno szeretne egy balra menni, es ha jol latom mar ossze is gyult a penz ra (van facebook oldaluk).
Mindekozben a vilag elott eg az iskola es a kisvaros is.

i cannot help but wonder if they have this seperation in the interest of the different cultures. where i live, the majority of the blacks like rap music and the majorty of whites like rock/country. so there is always one side not enjoying the prom b/c the music, which practically makes the prom, isn't their preference.

i eventually stopped going to my school dances b/c blacks outnumber the whites and i got sick of listening to "lemme see that tootsie roll" and "shake that laffy taffy" and whatever the hell other ridiculous songs they have now.


    Giselle Lee maybe try to increase your tolerance level...? if you can't make it through a school dance because of a few songs, life is gonna be REALLY rough.


    Lin Mack You clearly do not understand what is going on in this Georgia community. However, if you move there you just may fit in with the people these girls are fighting against.

it wasnt a few songs. it was ALL the songs. it would be like me going to a rap night club instead of rock night club. i didnt want to be there so instead of making a fuss i just stopped going as it was not enjoyable.

    why should i keep going somewhere i do not find enjoyable if i have an option to go or not? u are not making much sense.

    i bet if i was black and outnumbered by whites and complained (which im not. i am merely stating my experience) about how they werent catering to my interests, u would feel for me and call them racist or culturally insensitve or whatever. i see how one sided u are.

    i have a high tolerance level. trust me. it's ppl like you i have a problem with. ppl who believe what the media tells them and goes with it.

    i bet u urself dont live in that community nor know for urself first hand what is rlly going on.

    and of course, bc i choose not to be one-sided (like u all) and actually choose to look at both SIDES and ponder the possiblites, lets lump me in with the "mean and insenstive" ppl.

btw they are not fighting against anyone. not one is stopping them from having their own prom. they are merely trying to raise money for a good cause. most likely by twisting things with the help of the media.

    the school prolly doesnt host school dances b/c they are not obligated to. so its either the ppl host one or no dance at all.

    and if the ppl are going to have their own dance they have the right to have it however they like as long as its in legal standards. not that i completely agree with them seperating blacks and whites but i do not know all the facts and neither do u all.

    i am not standing up for the other ppl. i am merely pondering at what is quite possible.

    i too was appauled when i heard about this, but then i got to thinking about the other side of the story as we are only hearing one side of it. there is always more than one possibility.

    try thinking for yourself instead of letting others do it for you.
